SUNNYVALE Calif. – December 9, 2009 – Scintera Networks, Inc., a leading provider of programmable analog signal processors, today announced the appointment of Anthony J. Ley to its Board of Directors, bringing the number of directors on the Board to seven.

“The appointment of Anthony Ley brings valuable industry expertise to an already strong Board,” said Art Reidel, chief executive officer of Scintera, Inc. “In addition to his invaluable business and technical experience, his judgment, vision and enthusiasm will serve Scintera well.”

Mr. Ley served as president and chief executive officer at Harmonic for 18 years and as chairman until 2008. Prior to that he was at Schlumberger Limited, both in Europe and the U.S., holding senior business management and research and development positions, most recently as vice president, Research and Engineering, at Fairchild/Schlumberger Semiconductor. Mr. Ley holds an M.A. in Mechanical Sciences from the University of Cambridge and an S.M.E.E. from MIT, is named as an inventor on 29 patents, is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (UK), and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers, Inc.
